Infromation about the bus transportation

Joutsenon Kullervo and SK Vuoksi planned the 2021 Finnish Championship long-distance orienteering event in the remote Lökkiö wilderness, known for its challenging terrain. Due to its isolated location, competitors, support staff, and spectators must be transported by bus, with a fee of €12 per day. The parking and bus departure point is in Virmutjoki, Ruokolahti, with buses running on August 31st and September 1st.

On Sunday, September 1st, it is recommended that WRE competitors (H21/D21) take the bus departing at 9:30 AM at the latest, to ensure they cross the start threshold on time. This bus will be marked with a WRE sign and is primarily intended for WRE competitors.

The picture below represent the map of the parking area. Parking area for cars (Henkilöautot) is right next to bus stop (Bussipysäkki).
